The Curva to Pelechuco trek is a 7 day round trip including 2 days of travel to and from La Paz . It's a tough trek and depending on your level of fitness, you may want to allow for an extra day of walking. The trek can be done in either direction, but if you start from the hostel in Lagunillas just outside Curva, you'll avoid having to return to La Paz overnight.
The current price of this trek (based on 2 individuals) is 1100Bs per person and includes:
* Dinner, a night's accommodation and breakfast in the hostel in Lagunillas before starting the trek
* A guide, a muleteer and a mule to carry your backpack, tent, sleeping bag etc
* Dinner, a night's accommodation and breakfast in hostel in Agua Blanca at the end of the trek
If you want to allow for an extra day of trekking, a guide costs 100Bs a day, a cook costs 80Bs a day, a muleteer costs 70Bs a day and a mule 60Bs a day. These prices are determined by the Association of Guides and Muleteers that operates in Apolobamba.
It is recommended that all food for the trek is purchased in La Paz prior to your departure. You will need to cater for the guide and muleteer as well.
If you don't have your own equipment, tents, sleeping bags and roll mats can be hired in Agua Blanca, Lagunillas or in La Paz.
There is also the option to buy your own food and pay 80Bs a day for a cook.
Please note: The price of this trek will vary depending on the number of individuals in the group. Please contact us for prices for individual travellers and groups of more than 2.
Bus fares are NOT included in the above prices.
